There are opportunities to have your dog or pets appear on television or films as an extra or
as a model for photo shoots for magazines. Before considering this work it is worth a bit of
groundwork:
- Obedience and patience are requirements from the agencies. This prevents lost time in film shooting
due to naughty dogs!
- Think about what tricks and unique features your dog or pet has - outline these
in its CV.
- Consider having your pet professionally groomed and then take or have taken some
high quality photos for a portfolio.
- Join pet agencies to learn about work available. Most do not charge a fee and only charge a percentage
of your pet's earnings.
For more advice about appearing on TV as an acting extra go to the
Findextrawork website.
